WHL:

The Prince George Cougars open up a three game stint against the Tri-City Americans with a 4-3 victory last night.

The two teams play again tonight at 6:00 at the CN Centre, with the third match-up on Tuesday in Tri City.

BCHL:

It was a strong showing for the Prince George Spruce Kings as they take a 5-2 win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.

The Spruce Kings continue their tour of the island, playing the Victoria Grizzlies tonight at 6:00.

BC Elite Hockey League:

The U-18 Cariboo Cougars are at home this afternoon, taking on the Okanagan Rockets at 1:30 at the Kin Centre.

The two teams play again tomorrow at the CN Centre at 12:45pm.

Canada West Basketball:

Make that a seven game losing streak for the UNBC Timberwolves men’s team, after a 90-67 loss to the University of Fraser Valley Cascades.

The Timberwolves women’s team also fell to the Cascades yesterday 77-56.

The two teams play again tonight in Prince George, with the woman’s team at 5:00, and the men’s team at 7:00.

NHL:

We have a trade to announce!

The Vancouver Canucks made a trade last night, sending fan favourite J.T. Miller to the New York Rangers.

The trade details are:

The trade train didn’t stop there, as the Canucks made a transaction with the Pittsburgh Penguins, cornering the Pettersson market.

As for last night’s games, only one Canadian team hit the ice:
