The Cougars scored all three of their goals in the 3rd period before 4,950 hometown fans.

The (25-15-3-2) Cougars, who have lost five of their last six, host the (24-18-1-1) Swift Current Broncos Tuesday night at 7.

The Broncos won a pair of games on the weekend, 5-4 in a shootout over Victoria on Saturday and 3-2 in overtime over Vancouver on Sunday.

Prince George is second in the BC Division, three points behind the (25-13-3-5) Victoria Royals.

Swift Current is third in the East Division, two points behind Saskatoon and four points back of Prince Albert.

The (12-18-3-1) PG Spruce Kings play the Clippers Wednesday in Nanaimo when they begin a 3-game Island road trip.
