The Blazers scored four goals in the 2nd period before 6,016 fans at CN Centre.

The Cougars scored all three of their goals in the 3rd period before 4,950 hometown fans.

The (25-15-3-2) Cougars, who have lost five of their last six, host the (24-18-1-1) Swift Current Broncos Tuesday night at 7.

The Broncos won a pair of games on the weekend, 5-4 in a shootout over Victoria on Saturday and 3-2 in overtime over Vancouver on Sunday.

Prince George is second in the BC Division, three points behind the (25-13-3-5) Victoria Royals.

Swift Current is third in the East Division, two points behind Saskatoon and four points back of Prince Albert.

The (19-6-2-1) Cougars are tied with the (20-8-0-1) Valley West Giants for first place in the 8-team BC Elite Hockey League, a point ahead of the (19-9-1-1) Okanagan Rockets.

The Under-18 Cougars host the Rockets Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at Kin 1 and Sunday afternoon at 12:45 at CN Centre.

The (21-17-10) Vancouver Canucks, coming off the 2-1 victory Saturday over Washington, begin a 3-game road trip tonight (Monday 4:30) against the (23-23-4) Blues in St. Louis.

It is one of five Monday games in the NHL.

Elsewhere tonight, Edmonton hosts Seattle, LA at Detroit, New Jersey at Philadelphia and Pittsburgh at San Jose.

The (12-18-3-1) PG Spruce Kings play the Clippers Wednesday in Nanaimo when they begin a 3-game Island road trip.

The Spruce Kings are 9th out of 10 in the Coastal Conference, four points behind the (15-18-2) Clippers.
