BCHL:
The Prince George Spruce Kings have this weekend off, returning Wednesday as they’re in Nanaimo to face the Clippers.
That will kick off the Spruce Kings’ three game road trip before returning home.

BC Elite Hockey League:
The U-18 Cariboo Cougars are on the road, taking on the Vancouver North West Hawks tonight at 6:00, and Sunday morning at 11:00 in North Vancouver.
The Cougars are eyeing first place in the league standings, only one point behind the Valley West Giants.

Canada West basketball:
The UNBC Timberwolves women’s team snagged a 76-60 win over Thompson Rivers in Kamloops.
As for the men’s team, their losing streak is extended to five with a 79-65 loss to the Thompson Rivers.
The men’s team will have another chance to beat Thompson Rivers tonight at 6:00, with the women’s game at 4:00pm.

PG Sirens Cup:
Local Mounties and the Prince George Fire Department will face off at 2pm this afternoon for this year’s Sirens Cup Charity hockey game at the Kopar Memorial Arena.
Proceeds from the game will support the PG Firefighters Charitable Society and Cops for Cancer Tour de North.
