Kiwanis AleFest gets additional tasting session ahead of this weekend

The Kiwanis AleFest is returning for its ninth year this weekend, with different breweries to try.

19 breweries based in Northern BC will be gathered, bringing a variety of beer and spirits, including IPAs, pilsners, stouts, sours, hard lemonade, and non-alcoholic options.

Marketing and Communications Chair, Holly Keech says a fourth tasting was added for Friday afternoon following community feedback.

“Tickets sell out so fast every year. We just wanted the opportunity to have people attend Kiwanis AleFest.”

“Adding the fourth tasting session was just an option to be able to put more tickets out there in the community, so that people can experience Kiwanis AleFest.”

Keech added the additional session will be a bit more chill and lowkey, with a possible opportunity to talk to some of the brewers.

There will also be a Kiwanis AleFest Crawl this weekend at downtown Prince George.

The event will be at the Two Rivers Gallery Friday and Saturday with two tasting sessions each, with more information and tickets on the Kiwanis AleFest website here.
