Get ready to pan for gold and eat delicious baking throughout the summer.
The historic town of Barkerville announced its main season will start on May 31st, and will run until September 7th.
“We’re pretty excited to be opening up for our summer main season,” says Stewart Cawood, Manager of Public Programming and Media. “Everything’s going to be open. All of our shops, restaurants, and museums will be open and functioning this year.”
Cawood says the reenactments and live tours will be put on as always. Indigenous interpretations and cultural sessions in Chinatown will be available from day one, and the Theatre Royal will be open from day one.
He says Barkerville will be putting on more specialty events and days, with dates and times to be announced in the coming weeks.
