Parent Advisory Councils receive boost from the province

The BC government has provided 259 thousand dollars to Parent Advisory Councils within School District 57 in Prince George.

Trustee, Tim Bennett says a lot of things would go by the wayside if not for these groups.

“Each council does a lot of work over the year allocating these funds to just enhance what is already happening in our schools and without the countless volunteer hours of our parents some of these activities would not happen.”

Over 11 million dollars has been distributed to PAC’s or DPAC’s across the province for the 2015-16 school year.
