It will be a busy start to next week, as Prince George City Council deliberate taxes for the 2025 budget.
On Monday, a detailed overview of operational and capital budgets will be given to Council, along with cost pressures for 2025.
The City said a proposed tax increase of 5.83% will be discussed, along with other proposed service enhancements that could increase it to 7.84% if approved.
A 5.83% increase for an average household represents an additional cost of approximately $158.87.
The 2025-2029 Capital Plan will also be up for discussion and approval.
Residents are able to write in comments on the proposed financial and capital expenditure plans until Monday, at 8:30am.
The meetings will be open to the public, and will be held Monday and Wednesday in the Council Chambers at 1:00pm.
