A 32-year-old man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in connection to a Fort Saint James homicide that occurred three years ago.
According to the BC Prosecution Service, Thomas Kaylan Frank Duncan made the decision in front of a Supreme Court judge during an appearance in Prince George on Friday (January 10th).
On February 25th of 2022, the RCMP were called to a trailer park on the 800-block of Spruce Road where they found a 36-year-old man deceased, later identified as John Louie Lazarre.
Police determined the victim died from an apparent gunshot wound and Duncan was first taken into custody by the North District Major Crimes Unit in April of 2023.
Duncan’s next court appearance is slated for April 7th in Prince George.
