The NFL Conference semifinals will be played this weekend.

There are a pair of games on Saturday; Houston at Kansas City (1:30) followed by Washington at Detroit (5:00).

The Sunday games have LA Rams at Philadelphia (noon) and Baltimore at Buffalo (3:30).

NHL: (3 Monday games with 2 Canadian teams in action)

The (19-13-10) Vancouver Canucks conclude a 5-game road trip tonight (5:00) in Winnipeg against the (29-12-3) Jets.

It is one of 13 Tuesday games in the NHL (with Edmonton the only Canadian team idle).

WHL: 

The (24-12-3-2) Prince George Cougars visit the (27-14) Spokane Chiefs Friday and the Western Conference-leading (30-5-3-3) Everett Silvertips Saturday.

The Cougars are tied with the (22-11-3-4) Victoria Royals for first in the B.C. Division.

BCHL: 

The (12-17-3-1) Prince George Spruce Kings do not play this week.

The Spruce Kings next game will be on Wednesday, January 22nd when they host the (19-12-3) Surrey Eagles.

Prince George is 9th out of 10 in the Coastal Conference, two points behind the (14-17-2) Nanaimo Clippers.

BC Elite Hockey League: 

The Under-18 Cariboo Cougars play their next two games in Fort St. James against the Valley West Giants; Saturday night at 6:30 outdoors (at the Ernie Sam Memorial Arena) and Sunday morning at 10:00 indoors (at the Fort Forum Arena).

It is a match-up of the top two teams in the 8-team league with the (18-4-1-1) U-18 Cougars in first place by three points over the (17-7-0-1) Giants.

The U-18 Female Northern Capitals will also play outdoors in Fort St James Friday night at 6:00 (at the Ernie Sam Memorial Arena) against the Fraser Valley Rush.

The (9-10-0-1) Capitals and (7-9-1-2) Rush also meet Saturday morning at 11:00 in Vanderhoof.

NBA:

This was only the second win in the last 18 games for the (9-31) Raptors, who will host the (28-11) Boston Celtics Wednesday (4:30).

Canada West Basketball

The UNBC Timberwolves host the Victoria Vikes Thursday night (women tip off at 6:00 followed by the men at 8:00) in Canada West basketball.

The UNBC women are 3-7 while the UNBC men sit 1-9.
