On trade deadline day in the WHL, the Prince George Cougars added depth up front by acquiring 18-year-old forward Cole Peardon from the Red Deer Rebels in return for a fifth-round draft pick in 2026.
Peardon has five points in 23 games this season with the Rebels and the Prince Albert Raiders.

This is the Cougars 3rd deal in as many days.
On Wednesday, Prince George obtained Ben Riche from the Saskatoon Blades in return for 18-year-old forward Hunter Laing, a first-round draft pick in 2026, a 5th round pick in 2028 and 15-year-old prospect Luke Dumas.
On Tuesday, picked up 19-year-old defenceman Aleksey Chichkin from the Regina Pats in return for a fourth-round pick in 2027.

The (24-10-3-2) Cougars visit the (14-18-2-1) Kelowna Rockets tonight (Friday) at 7:00 and the (13-21-3) Kamloops Blazers Saturday night at 6:00.
