Anyone thinking about heading north might want to reconsider their travel plans.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Highway 97 and the Pine Pass where 10 to 15 centimetres is expected to fall today (Thursday).
A storm system crossing the BC Interior will bring snow to the region beginning. Snowfall in the Pine Pass area is expected to intensify this evening and taper off to a few flurries by Friday morning.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
