The (22-10-3-2) Cougars host the (19-14-4) Vancouver Giants Tuesday and Wednesday.

Prince George leads the B.C. Division by two points over the (20-11-3-4) Victoria Royals with P.G. holding a game in hand.

The Giants are 7th in the Western Conference, just a point behind the (20-12-2-1) Tri-City Americans.

Vancouver sniper Cameron Schmidt, who is from Prince George, is tied for most goals in the WHL with 28.

The UNBC Timberwolves play their first Canada West basketball games of 2025 this weekend on the road.

The Timberwolves visit the Fraser Valley Cascades Friday (Jan 10th) and the UBC Thunderbirds on  Saturday.

The UNBC women are 3-5 while the UNBC men sit 1-7.

Fraser Valley is 7-3 (women) and 4-6 (men).
