The long and slow rebuild of Jasper has many residents and municipal leaders feeling unsettled heading into 2025.
A massive wildfire ravaged through the community in July evacuative five-thousand residents and 20-thousand tourists.
The blaze destroyed homes and businesses with damage pegged at 880-million dollars.
Debris is still being cleared away six months later.
The Alberta government expects the first homes to be ready by late January or early February with the rest in April.
