The City visited the Blackburn Community Hall Wednesday Night for the second meeting of Talktober.
Blackburn area residents had the chance to tell City Staff and Council Members about community needs and concerns.
Parents at the meeting say that speeding in School Zones is a big problem.
“It’s an issue all the time with people who speed out here” said Resident Laura Cameron.
Residents feel a lack of speed limit enforcement contributes to the problem.
“I never see any cops out here” said Cameron. “When you go to the other schools that are in the city and stuff like that they always have a cop with their radar, but I never see it out here.”
Residents also noted a lack of street lights in the area, saying that the reduced visibility is dangerous for pedestrians.
