Houston stabbing results in man being airlifted to UHNBC

A 33-year-old man was airlifted to hospital in Prince George following an early morning stabbing in Houston.

According to police, officers responded to a call at a residence along the 3100 block of Hagman Crescent shortly before 1:30 am yesterday (Wednesday).

Emergency crews provided medical care to the victim who was taken to a Smithers hospital before ending up in PG.

The investigation identified a 36-year-old man who was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a weapon and is being held in custody until his court appearance today (Thursday).

Police believe this was a targeted incident and there is no further risk to the public.
