Cooper Michaluk slammed the door on his old team, making 33 saves.

Riley Heidt, Koehn Ziemmer and Borya Valis scored for the Cougars.

The Cougars (17-9-3-2) are on top of the WHL’s BC Division and are second in the Western Conference.

Prince George Spruce Kings  6  Langley Rivermen  3

Kazumo Sasaki scored the “Drop the Mitts and Sock it to Em” goal 11:38 into the first period.

Sasaki added another in the second period.

Brock Cummings scored twice, and added a pair of assists.

Lucas Veilleux and Cooper Williams scored once.

The Spruce Kings (9-15-2-1) are sitting ninth in the BCHL’s Coastal Conference, one point behind the Nanaimo Clippers (10-15-2-0)
