A Wells woman was the victim in a fatal base jumping accident in the Squamish area.
My Prince George Now has learned that Katelyn Escott passed away.
Squamish RCMP have released very few details, other than to confirm that there was an accident on Thursday. (Dec 5)
The BC Coroners Service is now investigating.
Escott was involved in a serious accident almost two years ago in Kamloops in January of 2023.
In that case she was a member of the Canadian Wingsuit Team and broke her back while landing.
Escott recovered after surgery.
