UNBC will be offering a tuition credit to a number of students for the Winter 2025 semester.
The “350 x $350 for UNBC’s 35th Anniversary” initiative will provide a $350 credit to 350 students for the upcoming semester.
“Coming off our strategic plan launch of Ready, and looking at the priorities going forward, one of the number one priorities, and not unexpected, is student experience and student journey,” said UNBC President Dr. Geoff Payne.
“With that in mind, and with our upcoming 35th anniversary, we really wanted to support, which is so important to UNBC, which is our students.”
Payne noted there is some criteria for the credit both for graduate and undergraduate students.
“It’s not an insignificant amount of money, we recognize that post-secondary is expensive,” Payne said.
“It’s balancing about giving large amounts to a fewer number of students or giving sort of an amount such as $350 to many students, so we felt at this point this was the way to go, and I think it does help, and we’ve done some pilot scholarships previously in the last little while, and the feedback from our students has been that is does help, so we’re thrilled that we can launch this.”
Students who are successfully registered in at least six credit hours of study on or before 11:59 pm on Sunday, January 12th, will be eligible for the draw.
Jumpstart your January!
To help make the 2025 Winter Semester even more accessible, both new and returning students will be eligible for a tuition credit worth $350, marking UNBC’s 35th Anniversary.
