CFL:

Former B.C. Lions quarterback Buck Pierce will return to Vancouver to become the 28th head coach in the 70-year history of the Lions.

He replaces Rick Campbell who was dismissed after a 9-9 season.

The 43-year-old Pierce comes to the Lions after 10 years on the coaching staff of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, where he had been offensive co-ordinator since 2020.

WHL:

The (13-8-3-2) Prince George Cougars host the (6-16-2-2) Regina Pats Friday and the (12-14-1) Kamloops Blazers Saturday in their final two home games in 2024.

Friday is Josh Ravensbergen bobblehead night while Saturday is Teddy Bear Toss night.

Prince George is second in the B.C. Division, four points behind the (15-8-3-2) Victoria Royals.

The Royals crushed Regina 7-1 Tuesday in Victoria.
