Spruce Kings make a deal with Vernon for veteran goalie

The Prince George Spruce Kings wasted little time upgrading in between the pipes.

Today (Monday), the BCHL club acquired 19-year-old Colin Reay from the Vernon Vipers in exchange for future considerations.

Reay is from Sherwood Park, Alberta and during his time with the Vipers, Reay posted a 14-9-4 record with a 2.85 GAA and a .914 SV%.

“We are excited to add Colin to our team. We need to get better at all positions and this addition will help solidify the goaltender spot for us.” said Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes,

“Colin is a veteran player who is a great teammate and person. He will be leaned upon heavily moving forward.”
