City of Prince George Roads and Fleet Manager Jordan Wiseman says roughly 40 centimetres fell over a four-and-a-half day period, which concluded yesterday (Sunday).
With that now in the rear-view mirror, clean-up crews will have to deal with plus temperatures and rain for most of the week.
Wiseman says while it will make snow removal efforts a tad more difficult, the clean up is off to a good start.
“It will definitely slow things down but our crews got a pretty good jump on the snow this weekend and the majority of our ones and two’s have been gone over twice.”
“We are now flooding residential. We are in orange zone right now and when the rain comes the snow gets significantly heavier and takes a little bit longer to push around and pick up. We are anticipating being in blue by the end of today or possibly the first thing tomorrow morning and should be wrapped up, the majority of it Thursday night or Friday morning.”
Daily highs are expected to range from plus two to plus six between today (Monday) and Thursday.
