PG RCMP launches Student Design Competition

The Challenge Coin Challenge is on!

Prince George RCMP have launched a graphic design competition open to high school students to draft the flip side of a police challenge coin.

The coin is 1.5 to 2 inches in diameter and is used by police for a variety of activities.

“We hope youth will consider our location here in Prince George” said Community Policing Coordinator Linda Parker. “Perhaps the confluence of the Two Rivers, perhaps some aboriginal influence would be ideal as well. We really are just opening it up to creativity.”

It gives police an opportunity to interact with youth in a positive way.

“We know we have a lot of creative youth” said Parker. “We really would like their ideas and want to engage them with this fun activity.”

The winning student will get a $200 gift card to Pine Centre Mall and Pizza for their class (not to mention bragging rights).

PG RCMP will be collecting submissions until October 30th.
