Vees fly past Spruce Kings

The Penticton Vees continued their winning ways up north after defeating the Prince George Spruce Kings 5-2 tonight (Sat).

The Vees got on the board first after Dante Fabbro’s point shot found it’s way past Sam Tanguay.

Prince George would then tie it up thanks to Adam Brubacher to even the score at 1 after 20 minutes.

Penticton would flex it’s muscles offensively with three markers in the second from Dixon Bowen who netted a pair and Jason Lavallee.

Goaltender Sam Tanguay was pulled after giving up his fourth goal on 20 shots and gave way to Liam McCloskey.

Shortly after, Adam Brubacher would score his second of the game to make it 4-2 after 40 minutes.

Benjamin Brar would light the lamp for Penticton in the third to ice the game for the visitors.

Prince George falls to 1-6-0-1 and begin a six game road trip on Friday against the Trail Smoke Eaters.
