Operation Red Nose to hit the streets tonight

Volunteers with Operation Red Nose are beginning their 25th year of getting Prince George drivers home safe tonight (Friday).

While it is a free volunteer service, the public is encouraged to make a donation, which goes to different community organizations.

Dolly Hilton is a Co-Chair of Operation Red Nose.

“All of our donations go to youth groups such as AiMHi, RCMP Victim Services’ has a youth program, and we provided the helmets for the [Prince George] Spruce Kings last year, and actually for quite a few years.”

Last year, volunteers completed 905 rides, going up yearly since the pandemic, and Co-Chair Garth Frizzell said they’re expecting that to continue, with volunteers being very busy.

Operation Red Nose will run every Friday and Saturday except the final day on Tuesday, December 31st.

More information about Operation Red Nose can be found on their website here.
