Community and recreation grant requests were approved by The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George during Thursday’s board meeting.
Community Grants in Aid have a continuous intake with applications needing to be submitted on the first day of the month, while Regional Grants in Aid, which support recreation efforts, have two intakes per year.
The largest approval was $6,000 going to the Prince George Snow Mobile Club’s insurance, with the largest approval outside of insurance going to McBride District Volunteer Firefighters Association of $3,000 for fireworks.
11 groups from five Electoral Areas were given grant approval, totalling $31,761.
