The public’s last chance to take a look at two time capsules is coming up!
The 75th Anniversary capsule that was unearthed in July will be going back into the ground next week, and the new Centennial Capsule will be going along with it.
But first, a ‘Packing Party’ will take place on Monday from 12pm to 2pm at the Bob Harkins branch of the public library.
Mayor Hall, City Council, and other dignitaries will be on hand for the public’s only opportunity to see what will be going into the 100th Anniversary time capsule.
The 75th anniversary vessel won’t be dug up until 2065, and the Centennial Capsule won’t see the light of day until 2115.
The capsules will be buried behind the “Welcome to Prince George” sign at the intersection of Highways 97 and 16 next Wednesday..
