Kelowna Rockets  5  Prince George Cougars  4  (Saturday)

The Rockets erased a 4-3 deficit by scoring two goals 28 seconds apart in the final two minutes of the third period before 4,172 fans at CN Centre.

The loss ended the Cougars 8-game point streak and 12-game home point streak.

The Argos captured their 19th Grey Cup, the most in CFL history before 52,349 fans at BC Place Stadium.

The Blue Bombers were appearing in their fifth straight Grey Cup but suffered their third straight loss.

College Heights advances to the double-a varsity semifinal against Vernon on Saturday at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver.

Speed Skating:

Speed skater Carolina Hiller of Prince George captured gold in the Women’s Team Sprint at the ISU Four Continents Skating Championships in Japan.

Hiller, along with Beatrice Lamarche and Ivanie Blondin, set a track record with a time of 1:27.87.

 

NBA:

The (2-10) Toronto Raptors, who have lost seven straight and sit last in the overall standings, host the (6-7) Indiana Pacers tonight (Monday 4:30).
