Winter has arrived as Prince George and the surrounding areas are under a snowfall warning.
Environment Canada issued the warning as the City could see between five to eight centimetres, with it reaching around 10 closer to the Alberta border.
Meteorologist, Ross MacDonald says the snowfall is expected to continue through the day.
“The main event is for today. We will see the snow start to ease this evening with maybe two to four centimetres of further accumulation this evening before it does come to an end.”
“We are seeing a little bit of wind with this system as well so, some gusty winds up to about 60 kilometres an hour with this storm.”
MacDonald added anyone heading out today (Saturday) should give themselves some extra time on the roads and be prepared for winter driving conditions.
