There are 5 Wednesday games in the NHL with Toronto the only Canadian team in action as the Maple Leafs tonight visit the Washington Capitals.

WHL:

The (11-4-3-2) Prince George Cougars, who are riding a 7-game point streak, host the (6-7-1-1) Kelowna Rockets Friday and Saturday.

Prince George is first in the B.C. Division by two points over the (11-5-2-1) Victoria Royals.

Cougars sniper Koehn Ziemmer is the WHL Player of the Week after he scored seven goals and added an assist in just three games.

Ziemmer, who turns 20 on Dec. 8th, has 17 goals and seven assists in just 13 games this season after being sent back to junior from the LA Kings organization.

The (6-9-2-1) Prince George Spruce Kings hit the road this week.

The (9-3-2-1) Under-18 Cariboo Cougars play their next games at the BC Elite Hockey League showcase in Abbotsford on Nov. 23rd against the (7-4-2-1) Greater Vancouver Canadians and Nov 24th against the last place (0-10) Thompson Blazers.

Cariboo is in first place in the 8-team Under-18 Division by a point over (9-3-0-1) Valley West and (9-3-0-1) Fraser Valley.

The UNBC Timberwolves visit the Regina Cougars this week in Canada West basketball.

The women meet Thursday (4 PM PST) and Friday (10 AM) while the men play on Friday and Saturday (5 PM both days).

UNBC is 1-3 in the women’s division and 0-4 in the men’s standings.

Regina is 3-1 (women) and 1-3 (men).

PG High School Football:

College Heights competes at the BC School Sports AA Provincial Football Championship.

They are ranked 5th and will battle #4 Holy Cross in the quarterfinals Friday afternoon at 1:00 in Burnaby.

NFL: (Week 11)

Week 11 of the NFL season begins Thursday night (5:15) with (7-3) Washington at (7-2) Philadelphia.

The 111th Grey Cup Game will feature the Winnipeg Blue Bombers against the Toronto Argonauts.
