Dawson Creek RCMP searching for answers in nine-year-old fatal hit and run

Police in Dawson Creek are still seeking information on a hit and run that claimed the life of Constance (Connie) Jones over nine years ago.

In the early morning of March 6th, 2015, Connie was walking to work when she was struck by an unidentified vehicle at the intersection of 8th Street and 106th Avenue, in the community.

During the initial investigation police conducted extensive neighbourhood canvassing for video surveillance and witnesses to the collision.

Tire skid marks located on the road were examined and compared to several vehicles, however the suspect and the vehicle have yet to be identified.

The RCMP’s investigation remains active.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the detachment at 250-784-3700.
