A looming development in the Hart was the subject of a heated debate for City Council Monday night.
Council voted on a rezoning bylaw to fit a mini-storage facility at Monterey Road West, along with a motel and restaurant.
Several residents, such as Gerald Marshinew poke out against the development, saying it would “literally kill the neighbourhood”.
Several councilors noted concern over how close the commercial area would be to people’s homes, but ultimately voted unanimously to approve it.
