WHL:

The Prince George Cougars walked away with a 6-3 victory on the road against the Kamloops Blazers last night.

Koehn Ziemmer scored a hat trick, solidifying the team’s win.

BCHL:

It was a close game for the Prince George Spruce Kings, though a win couldn’t be managed, as they lost to the Victoria Grizzlies 4-3 in OT.

The two teams play again tonight at the Kopar Memorial Arena, with puck drop at 6:00.

BC Elite Hockey League:

The U18 Cariboo Cougars will be at the Kin Centre tonight to take on the Vancouver North West Hawks starting at 6:30.

Canada West Basketball:

Men – The UNBC Timberwolves start the season off on the wrong foot, as they fell to the UBC Okanagan Heat 91-71 last night.

Women – It was a similar story, as the UNBC Timberwolves  also took on the UBC Okanagan Heat, where they fell 84-64.
