WHL:

The (7-4-2-2) Prince George Cougars host the (3-9-2) Moose Jaw Warriors tonight at 7:00.

It is the only Tuesday game on tap in the WHL.

The Warriors are the defending league champions who sit last in both the Eastern Conference and the entire WHL.

Moose Jaw has lost its last seven games.

The Cougars and the (8-3-1-1) Victoria Royals are tied for first in the BC Division, although Victoria has two games in hand.

The Cougars have not lost in regulation time in their last 18 regular season home games dating back to January 20th.

BC Elite Hockey League:

The (7-2-0-1) Under-18 Cariboo Cougars host the (3-4-0-1) Vancouver North West Hawks Saturday night at 6:30 and Sunday morning at 10:30 at Kin 1.

Cariboo is tied for first in the 8-team BC Elite Hockey League alongside the (7-2-0-1) Valley West Giants, a point ahead of the (7-3) Fraser Valley Thunderbirds.

MLB:  (World Series Game 3)

LA Dodgers  4  New York Yankees  2

The Dodgers lead the World Series 3-0 and will go for a sweep tonight (5:08 start time) at Yankee Stadium.

The LA Dodgers won the first two games at home; 6-3 in 10 innings on Friday and 4-2 on Saturday.

The (6-2) Steelers lead the AFC North by a game over the (5-3) Baltimore Ravens.

CFL:

The CFL Division semi-finals will be played on Saturday.

The (9-9) B.C. Lions visit the (9-8-1) Saskatchewan Roughriders (3:30 PM) with the winner to play at the (11-7) Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the West Final on November 9th.

In the East, the (9-8-1) Ottawa Redblacks visit the (10-8) Toronto Argonauts (Saturday noon) with the winner to visit the (12-5-1) Montreal Alouettes on November 9th.

The 111th Grey Cup will be played on Sunday, November 17th in Vancouver.

Canada West Basketball:

The UNBC Timberwolves begin their Canada West men’s and women’s basketball season on Friday when they visit the UBC Okanagan Heat in Kelowna (5 and 7 PM).

The UNBC home openers will go on Sunday (November 3rd) against Thompson Rivers University of Kamloops starting with the women at 2:00 followed by the men at 4:00.
