Vanderhoof police looking to public following rainbow crosswalk vandalism

Vanderhoof RCMP is investigating a report of mischief to property.

Police received the report on Saturday (October 19th), at 8:00am, involving the rainbow crosswalk on Victoria Street East and Butte Avenue.

The crosswalk was spray painted neon orange overnight with the words “Speak Truth” and “Save The Kids”.

Police said footage showed two individuals, possibly males, in dark clothing and light shoes were seen at the crosswalk just after midnight and appear to be responsible.
