WHL:

The (5-2-2-1) Prince George Cougars start a 3-game Alberta road trip at noon today (PT) against the Calgary Hitmen.

The Cougars also visit Medicine Hat on Wednesday and Lethbridge on Friday.

Captain Riley Heidt notched a hat trick, with two of his three goals, coming on the power play.

His linemate Borya Valis picked up a goal and two assists for the Cougars before 3,840 fans at CN Centre.

Defenseman Bauer Dumanski scored the winner while shorthanded at 5:29 of the third.

The (3-6) Prince George Spruce Kings play their next two games in Abbotsford against
(4-3-1) Alberni Valley tonight (Monday) at 7:00 and against (0-7) Blackfalds Tuesday at 4 PM.

The Spruce Kings next game in Prince George will be on Saturday at 6 PM against Chilliwack.

CFL: (Week 19)

There is one Thanksgiving Monday game in the CFL as Ottawa visits Montreal (10 AM PT start).

The (8-9) B.C. Lions, coming off that 39-8 loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders, conclude their regular season on Saturday, October 19th at 4 PM against Montreal.

The Lions will finish 3rd in the West Division and will start the playoffs on the road at either Saskatchewan or Winnipeg on Saturday, November 2nd.
