Northern BC could see some precipitation during Thanksgiving

Anyone planning to get out for Thanksgiving weekend may want to prepare for potential rain.

Northern BC will have a ridge of high pressure for today (Sunday) along with some stronger winds for Prince George and Stuart Nechako region.

Meteorologist, Dave Wray says the rain overnight could carry over to the next day.

“Monday may be the wetter of the two days. A few showers through the day, should improve in the afternoon, but looking at a high of about 18 today and an overnight low of 8.”

Wray says Prince George has the potential to reach a high of 14 tomorrow, with Stuart Nechako region being the coolest with 12.

As for the rest of the week, the north will go into an unsettled pattern with rain on Wednesday and temperatures close to the freezing mark at the end of the week.

Wray notes it could usher in overnight wet flurries, though it’s still too early to tell and could change.
