Riley Heidt spoke volumes, scoring three goals, with two of them on the power play, leading the Prince George Cougars to a 5-4 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders before 3,840 fans Saturday night at CN Centre.
Heidt, who was given the C after coming back from the Minnesota Wild training camp, was also instrumental on the penalty kill in addition to winning 14 of 23 faceoffs.

His linemate Borya Valis picked up a goal and two assists and defenseman Bauer Dumanski scored the winner while shorthanded at 5:29 of the third.

The Cougars were 2-for-5 on the power play and 5-for-6 on the penalty kill as they ended a 3-game winless streak.
Prince George outshot Prince Albert 34-19.
The game was tied 1-1 after one and P.G. led 4-3 after two.
