WHL:

The (4-2-2-1) Prince George Cougars host the (1-3-2) Prince Albert Raiders Saturday night at 6:00 to conclude a 3-game homestand.

The Cougars start a 3-game Alberta road trip Monday afternoon in Calgary against the Hitmen.

Prince George defenseman Carson Carels is one of 15 WHL players selected to play in the World U17 Challenge taking place November 3-9 in Sarnia, Ontario.

Carels will suit up for Team Canada Red.

BCHL: 

The (3-4) Prince George Spruce Kings visit the (1-5) Okotoks Oilers tonight (Friday) and the (5-0) Brooks Bandits on Saturday.

They will follow that with a pair of games in Abbotsford against Alberni Valley on Thanksgiving Monday and against Blackfalds on Tuesday.

The Spruce Kings next game in Prince George will be on Saturday, October 19th at 6 PM against Chilliwack.

BC Elite Hockey League:

The (5-0-0-1) U-18 Cariboo Cougars host the (5-3) Vancouver NE Chiefs Saturday afternoon at 2:15 and Sunday morning at 10:30 at Kin 1.

Canada West Soccer:

The (1-9) UNBC Timberwolves host the (10-0) UBC Thunderbirds in Canada West women’s soccer tonight at 6:00 and Saturday night at 6:00 at Masich Place Stadium.

The UNBC women will conclude their season at Trinity Western on October 18th at 5 PM and at Fraser Valley on October 20th at 1 PM.

The (1-11-2) UNBC men’s soccer team will play its final two games of the season against the (1-9-2) Thompson Rivers Wolfpack on October 18th and 19th at 7 PM each day.

CFL:

The third last weekend of the CFL regular season begins tonight (5:30) with (8-7) Toronto at (10-6) Winnipeg.

The West-leading Blue Bombers have won eight straight.

The B.C. Lions visit Saskatchewan on Saturday (4pm).

The (8-8) Lions are 3rd in the West Division, with a guaranteed playoff spot locked up, a point behind the (8-7-1) Roughriders.
