The Copper Pig BBQ House will be closed for the summer.
After a fire next to the restaurant on George Street three weeks ago, water damage has forced them to close for the next four months.
Owner Tyler Burbee says they’ve had to strip down the building.
“It wasn’t even our fire, it was from the fire next door. So the water damage that we received to the flooring underneath our floor, and the insulation and the dry wall behind the bar; the kitchen equipment and everything else – that’s what has to be taken out.”
Burbee says it will likely be late August or early September when they can open again.
No cause of the fire has been released yet.
