UNBC alumni returning to Prince George for a concert

The University of Northern British Columbia announced alumni Dr. Alex Cuba will be returning to host a free concert.

Dr. Cuba, a multi-award-winning musician, will make his first visit to the Prince George campus since receiving an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree earlier this year.

President Geoff Payne says this will be a great event for the school.

“It’s for the university community, whether that’s students, faculty and staff. There’s people that are aware of Alex in terms of the amazing accomplishments he’s had, and also people that aren’t so, it’s a great way to expose others to what Alex has been doing and is going to do.”

Payne says everything lined up perfectly to have the concert, and to make it accessible for students.

He added both the school and Alex are excited for the fun night.

Tickets will be available October 10th, with the performance at the NUSC Event Space/Thirsty Moose on November 9th, at 8:00 pm.
