AiMHi’s flag was raised at Prince Goerge City Hall this morning, as Mayor Simon Yu proclaimed October as Community Living Month in the City.
“Really this is our way of telling the world and people in Prince George that the work we do day in and day out with people with developmental disabilities,” said Prince George City Councillor and AiMHi Community Engagement and Homesharing Manager Ron Polillo.
“It’s all about inclusion, being welcoming, and understand that the people we support are involved in our community every single day in so many different aspects. It’s all about welcoming people, and including people, and telling the world let’s celebrate community inclusion.”
A mix of the AiMHi team and those they support were in attendance for the flag raising.
