Environment Canada has ended the wind warning for Prince George.

You might want to hang on to your hats while walking outside.

Prince George is one of several communities in the north currently under a wind warning by Environment Canada.

West winds gusting up to 90km/hour are anticipated throughout today (Friday).

An intense low pressure system will cross the region.

Moderate to strong southeast winds ahead of this system are expected to continue early this morning. .

Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may result in power outages and fallen tree branches.

Motorists, especially in high profile vehicles, may expect hazardous driving conditions on highways subject to strong cross winds.

Other communities included in the warning are the Lakes District, Chilcotin, Stuart-Nechako, McGregor, Williston, and the B.C. South Peace River.
