The Prince George Cougars have acquired goaltender Cooper Michaluk from the Spokane Chiefs in exchange for a fifth-round pick in 2027.
The 19-year-old has appeared in 71 WHL games with Spokane, posting a 21-34-6 record.
Last season with the Chiefs, he was 12-12-3 with a 4.49 goals against average and a .871 save percentage.
He also picked up a 27-save win over the Cougars in their home opener.

“He is a goalie that we have seen a lot,” said Cougars Head Coach and General Manager Mark Lamb.
“We were looking at adding depth and a goalie that is proven at this level to share with Ravensbergen.”
Michaluk will wear #35 for the Cats.
The Cougars are back in action tomorrow night against the Vancouver Giants, as they start a five-game road swing.
In addition to the trade, defenceman Leith Hunter has been reassigned to his minor club.
