Global Affairs Canada has confirmed a Canadian man accused of a killing Dawson Creek woman while both were in Mexico in March of 2023 has been found not guilty in a Mexican Court.
23-year-old Kiara Agnew was identified as the victim by family members.
Agnew and her boyfriend were vacationing in the resort area of Playa del Carmen on the Mayan Riviera.
At the time, police stated the man was taken into custody after the body of a woman was found with possible marks of violence.
Due to privacy considerations, no further information can be disclosed.
