The North Central Local Government Association to make presence felt at UBCM

The North Central Local Government Association is at the Union of BC Municipalities Convention in Vancouver this week.

President, Brian Frenkel says the organization will be speaking on some major issues during the week.

“Resolution to planting trees on agricultural land I think this a key topic that is specific to our area we will be bringing forward and making sure we speak to those and try get all the delegates to endorse those resolutions.”

Frenkel adds they will continue to beat the drum for the region and will not allow government to take them for granted.

“The majority of export dollars created in the province comes from our area and we are a host of the first nations as well.”

“I just want to make sure everyone in Victoria really understands who we are and represent.”

The association represents all municipal levels of government from 100 Mile House to the Yukon Border.

They have forwarded 20 resolutions for consideration to UBCM.
