Homestead Days at Huble Homestead are back this weekend.
It is the historic site’s longest-running event, which has been held since the park opened in 1989.
“It’s one where we celebrate all the old-fashioned activities that people did in the past,” said Executive Director Krystal Leason.
“It’s really a demonstration of how close our history is.”
Leason said there will be a variety of heritage demonstrations, live music, old-fashioned contests, games and more.
While dogs are normally allowed at the park, Leason adds it may be a good idea to leave them home this weekend, as they’ll be having a black powder shooting.
Homestead Days takes place tomorrow and Monday (August 4th and 5th) from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm.
