Golf:

Two rounds of the The Open at the Royal Troon Golf Course in Scotland are complete.

Shane Lowry, at 7-under-135, has the 36 hole lead by two strokes over Justin Rose and Daniel Brown.

Two of the four Canadians made the cut led by Corey Connors, who is tied for 7th at 1-under-141, six shots off the pace.

Mackenzie Hughes is tied for 13th at 1-over-143.

This is the final Major tournament of the year on the PGA Tour.

 

BCFC:

The Prince George Kodiaks begin their third season in the BC Football Conference Saturday night at 6:00 when they host the Vancouver Island Raiders at Masich Place Stadium.

CFL:  

A Friday doubleheader in the CFL to begin Week 7 of the season.

(0-5) Edmonton is at (3-2) Ottawa (4:00) followed by (2-4) Winnipeg at (4-1) Saskatchewan (6:30).

This is the Elks first game under interim head coach Jarious Jackson and interim general manager Geroy Simon.

The (5-1) B.C. Lions play their next Sunday (4:00) in Calgary against the (2-3) Stampeders.
