It is forecast to be another beautiful weekend in Prince George, and there is no shortage of things to do.
Here are some things coming up in town over the next couple of days:
The 27th annual Prince George Pride Parade will march through downtown tomorrow morning (Saturday), starting at the Canada Games Plaza at 10:00.
It will loop from Quebec Street to 4th Avenue, then down George Street and back to City Hall.
Community Art Days – Today & Saturday
Two Rivers Gallery is holding two Community Art Days this weekend.
According to the Gallery, they feature “free art activities, artist workshops, live music and performances, community booths, food trucks, and local artisan vendors.”
Introductory youth wrestling lesson with Olympic medalist – Saturday
Carol Huynh will be in Prince George on Saturday, hoping to introduce the next generation to the sport of wrestling.
Huynh won a gold medal in the women’s 48kg division at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and a bronze in the same division in London at the 2012 games.
Anyone interested in attending the free event is asked to register beforehand.
PGARA Can-Am Sprints & Legends – Tonight and Saturday
According to PGARA, 20 sprint cars are registered to take part in this weekends races, as well as the legends cars class.
Time trials begin at 6:00, races begin at 7:00.
Sweet Summer Market – Saturday
The market will be held from 10:00 – 5:00 in the CN Centre parking lot.
Food trucks, vendors, and artisans will be present.
U15 girls fastball provincial championships – Today-Sunday
Prince George’s team will be hosting 15 other teams from around BC for a provincial tournament this weekend.
The games will be played all day today, Saturday, and Sunday.
