Parascak drafted 17th overall by Washington Capitals

Terik Parascak, you are a Washington Capital.

The Prince George Cougars’ Super Rookie has been selected 17th overall by the Washington Capitals in the 2024 NHL Draft.

Parascak scored 105 points (43 goals, 62 assists) in 68 regular season games last season, leading all CHL rookies in points, goals, assists, and +/- rating.

His 105-point season also set the franchise records for most goals, assists, and points by a Cougar rookie, breaking Brett Connolly’s rookie points record.

Connolly was the last Cougar to be selected in the first round, 6th overall in 2010 by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
