Today marks the start of the Northern Sport Centre’s free demo week!
Until September 13th, people can try any of the NSC’s 35 fitness classes for free.
“We’ve done some market research and gone over the national fitness trends to come up with exciting new programming,” says Marketing and Communications Officer Scott McWalter, “Things from different fit barre programs to anti gravity fitness classes.”
McWalter hopes free demo week will help break the misunderstanding that the NSC caters solely to students.
“Sometimes people think we’re just a fitness facility for the university campus, but that’s not true at all. It’s Prince George’s world-class sport, fitness, and recreation facility.”
The centre usually holds three free demo weeks each year.
“We always see a major spike in participation for group fitness classes during free fitness week,” says McWalter, “We have a plethora of offerings from things like Boxer Fit, where you can train with Kenny Lally- who just won a bronze medal at the Pan-Am Games- to yoga, to spin class, to boot camps.”
Schedules for Free Demo Week can be found on the Northern Sport Centre’s website and social media accounts.
